Hell Yeah Morning Drink

In the morning, I usually hydrate while my daughter has her breakfast. It is a cozy routine because it allows me to be doing something for myself while being present in my daughter’s morning, too. Lately I have been drinking hot water with ginger and turmeric. Turmeric has a ton of health benefits, most important in my opinion being that it is inflammatory. Hydrating your cells first thing is also a great way to start your day! Makes One Mug.


Boiled water — we have an amazing Aquasana water filter that I use for all my water, hot and cold.

1/2 inch of turmeric, or a few teaspoons of powdered turmeric

1/2 inch of fresh ginger


Optional: Citrus or apple cider vinegar.

  1. Boil your water.
  2. Grate in or finely chop your ginger and turmeric.
  3. Squeeze in some citrus or throw in a splash of A.C.V. Voila! That simple. Sip and enjoy and take some deep breaths to start your day.
