Simple Disinfecting Spray

I’m not a fan of harsh chemicals to clean, and we typically keep it very green in our house. But drastic times call for harsher chemicals. I haven’t found much Clorox, so I’ve been making my own spray out of 90% isopropyl alcohol. It’s super simple! Spray and leave for 30 seconds, then wipe.

  1. Get a spray bottle. I use a nice glass one, but it could be an old spray bottle from any cleaning solutions you use.
  2. Fill it with alcohol that is AT LEAST 70%.
  3. Add 30 drops of essential oils. I use red thyme oil for its anti-viral properties, and rosemary oil for its antimicrobial properties. The thyme doesn’t smell great, I’ll be honest, but it is effective. You can read more about it here.
